After graduating from Syracuse University
with a degree in Journalism, Bobby Kelton began working as a sportswriter
for the Los Angeles times. But driven by a desire to put his college
education to good use, he decided to go into comedy.
Bobby Kelton won the Best
Young Stand-up Comedian award on the live ABC special, Tomorrows
Stars, and a few weeks later he made his debut on The
Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, where he received a standing
ovation. Kelton wa signed to a contract with NBC that week, and his
frequent television appearances led to his touring with such stars
as Tom Jones, Paul Anka, Aretha Franklin,
Gladys Knight, and many others.
Audiences have eagerly taken to Bobby Kelton's
classic observational style, and his professionalism carries him easily
from the stages of Las Vegas and Atlantic City to theatre's, clubs, resorts
and charity events.
