This New York-based dance band is one of America’s
most energetic
and dynamic bands available for corporate and
special events. Led by James Brown’s former drummer, Tony Alston,
and featuring his wife, lead singer Lois Alston, The Eturnity Band also
includes musicians who have toured and recorded with
the likes of Kool and the Gang, Lionel Hampton and Chaka Khan
among others. The Eturnity Band never fails to get audiences on
their feet with their energetic versions of classic songs from
the genres of funk, rhythm & blues, disco, Motown and rock
n’ roll.
A typical set, which can run for over 100 minutes, includes "I
Wish" (Stevie Wonder), "I Feel Good" (James Brown), "Respect" (Aretha
Franklin), "I Will Survive" (Gloria Gaynor), "Get
Down On It" (Kool and the Gang) and "Shining Star" (Earth,
Wind & Fire). The Eturnity Band also plays
other musical styles including swing, jazz, reggae and ballads.
Unlike most dance bands, Eturnity actually puts on a show that offers
audiences the chance to participate in the fun. Beginning with
tightly-choreographed dance moves on the stage, the show’s infectious
energy invariably spreads onto the dance floor with vocalists leading
dances
and conga lines and horn players performing solos while spinning
on their backs. The Eturnity Band are hands down New York’s best
funk & soul
dance band.
The Eturnity Band has performed for highly successful corporate
engagements for Lucent Technologies, American Express, Saloman Smith
Barney, Metlife, PepsiCo and Revlon as well as Time Magazine’s
75th Anniversary at Radio City Music Hall where they entertained such
distinguished guests as former President and Mrs. Clinton, director Steven
Speilberg and Microsoft CEO Bill Gates. “The band that managed to coax Jerry Seinfeld
onto the dance floor.”
