What if the
physical laws of nature… didn’t apply to you?
…if what goes up… doesn’t come down?
…if time and space… bend just for you?
…if jumping… resulted in flying?
For Fighting
Gravity, not only is it all possible,
it’s inescapable.
When light ceases to exist and darkness consumes the theater,
three glowing figures materialize from the void. From this
point on, you will witness one of the most unique live theatrical
experiences of modern performance art. A Fighting Gravity
show combines illusion, dance, and heart-pounding club beats
making them one of the hottest and most talked-about acts
of 2010.
What started out as an idea for a local talent show quickly
turned into an internet sensation. The group then gained
worldwide attention thanks in no small part to placing 3rd
out of over 100,000 contestants on the nation’s #1
summer primetime television series, NBC’s America’s
Got Talent. Week in and week out, millions of viewers would
cast their votes to keep them in the competition…
and they never disappointed.
All thirteen performers, who have actually had zero performance
experience among them before the group was even conceived,
are intensely dedicated to securing the name of Fighting
Gravity in the same breath as Blue Man Group, Stomp, and
Cirque du Soleil.
After completing a successful nationwide tour, they have
become one of the most sought-after live performance artists
in the country. And at the end of 2010, Fighting Gravity
was even invited to perform with platinum-selling recording
artists Far East Movement on Dick Clark’s New Years
Rockin’ Eve show.
Since then, the members of Fighting Gravity have been constantly
working on new ideas to bring their show to another level
not yet realized by their predecessors.
The Performance Group Fighting Gravity utilizes blacklights
to perform gravity defying illusions. They first got their
start performing at a talent show to benefit the visually
impaired in Blacksburg Va. The combination of mind blowing
tricks performed to unique and energetic music promises
a show that every age group will enjoy. Fighting Gravity
first broke out onto the national scene during season 5
of NBC’s hit TV show America’s Got Talent where
they placed 3rd out of nearly 100,000 acts. After their
success on America’s Got Talent, Fighting Gravity
continued to perform on their first nationwide tour hitting
twenty-four cities across the United States. They are currently
working on expanding their act and exploring new elements
to continue paving the way for blacklight theater.
