of her influences; great Jazz singers like Billie Holiday, Nina Simone,

Grace Cerrone trained as an actress beginning
at age six. A professional actress and singer at eleven years old, Grace
worked steadily in national voice-over, theatre, television, and even
toured with a New York Equity cast for the musical, “Gypsy” performing
as Baby Louise by the age of 13. She was represented in New York City
by child manager, Muriel Karl. She studied operatic and classical voice
performance with the Metropolitan Opera’s Gabriella Tucci at the
prestigious Indiana University School of Music. After committing to follow
her heart to a career in Jazz, Grace began performing live and recording
with renowned Boston jazz pianist, Al Vega and his stellar group of jazz
musicians. Soon after those recordings, Grace Cerrone moved from her
hometown of Boston to Los Angeles where she joined the Life Choir, a
professional Gospel group under renowned musical director for Aretha
Franklin, H.B. Barnum.
Grace Cerrone
is preparing to record her first Jazz album - a combination of obscure
classic Jazz blending
in with original Jazz songs which she will
be incorporating into her live performance. The musical objective is to
create an album that reflects warmth and beauty contained within its lush
contemporary 1960's jazz stylings and arrangements. This album, "Sexy
World" creates a new niche in jazz: the mod 1960's revisited with
contemporary styling's in the 21st century. The music industry has already
embraced the project, beginning with legendary singer/arranger and five-time
Grammy Award winner Alan Paul of the multi-platinum and legendary Jazz
quartet, The Manhattan Transfer. An all-star lineup to perfectly compliment
Grace's voice is sure to produce an outstanding and wildly successful record.
Europe is already calling. Grace Cerrone is the future of classic Jazz,
and the world is all ears.
