Lannie Garrett's natural ability to connect
with her audience, her comedic instincts and her undeniable stage presence
make her in demand as a singer and entertainer in nightclubs, concert
halls and corporate events all over the nation. Knock-out performances
have earned her a large and loyal following.
This redhead changes her feathers easily,
from the glamorous, sequined chanteuse in her 10-piece big band, the "Any
Swing Goes Orchestra", to the the hilariously washed up country
star, Patsy DeCline in her standing room only show-the irreverent country
music spoof, "The DeCline and Fall of Country Western Civilization." She
also performs as a bell-bottomed belter in the "The Platforms and
Polyester Disco Revue" her funky dance PARTY band singing classic
disco hits, funk and Motown and as a torchy singer ala 1940's in her
jazz and jump show, "A Slick Chick on the Mellow Side." In
1998 she expanded her repertoire with a classy tribute to George Gershwin
called "'S Wonderful" featuring her top-notch quintet, The
Errand Boys of Rhythm.

PARTY band -- "Platforms and Polyester."
In 2002 Lannie put together some of the greatest musicians in town- solid keyboards,
virtuoso guitar, a driving horn section, and pounding percussion to the funkiest
bass around to create the sound of her Disco/Funk/Motown PARTY band -- "Platforms
and Polyester."
The first month of their existence they were
hired by the Denver Center for Performing Arts' party to honor the Broadway
show "Mama Mia" for 2002's New Year's Eve Gala. From the colorful
costumes to the driving funky beat they can't help but create an instant
dance party atmosphere for your event. Lannie and her band of 7 will
have your guests on their feet the whole night as they boogie through
Disco and Motown's most danceable tunes.
Patsy DeCline
Lannie Garrett created and stars as Patsy DeCline
(not to be confused with a singer with a name very
similar to hers) in her tongue-in-cheek spoof of country
music. In this side-splitting show, 'Patsy" pays
tribute to all the big-haired country queens who came
before her. She spurs the crowd to laughter with hysterical
tales of her many husbands, her endless hit albums
and her wild, bawdy adventures on the road.
Backed by her loyal 5-piece, pedal-steel driven
band, she will delight you as they rip and roar their way through laughter
inspiring parody songs and some of country music's all-time favorite/classic
chart toppers. As Patsy, Lannie gets the audience rolling in the aisles
with her irreverent take on all that country holds sacred.
"Slick Chick" Show
Take some of the best songs ever written and combine
them with Lannie's classy-sassy style for a show that
is anything but mellow. The "Slick Chick" show
features songs from the Jazz, Jump and Jive era of
the 1940's and 50's. It switches from smooth to swinging
throughout the night. Lannie works with area's finest
jazz musicians and her 5-piece band features guitar;
piano, saxophone, upright bass and drums.
Songs from Nat King Cole to Anita O'Day are
done in Lannie's inimitable style. Her sense of humor shines on bluesy, "If
I Can't Sell It, I'm Gonna Sit Down on It." and "Pigfoot and
a Bottle of Beer."The band swings on "Cheek to Cheek" and "Hit
that Jive, Jack," and mellows on the upright bass driven, "Time
After Time." Garrett is an electrifying singer who brings the aura
and allure of the torch singer into the 90's. Singing the blues or a
ballad, she's both scorching and mellow. This show is perfect for your
classiest event.
