Melody Knighton and Art Poco.
The Lucy and Desi Tribute Show is an original
musical comedy tribute to the famous duo. These seasoned stage performers
sing, dance and act while executing uncanny look-a-like, sound-a-like
impersonations of Lucy and Desi. Most importantly, they capture the souls
of Lucy and Desi and present them to us with a heartfelt reverence for
their special place in the American psyche. This fast paced production features all new sketch material, fabulous
costumes and exciting musical numbers including Cuban Pete/Sally Sweet,
Babalu, The Lady In Red, By The Waters Of The Minnetonka, We’ll
Build A Bungalow, I Yi Yi, California Here I Come, Sway, I Love Lucy
and more. There are hilarious reenactments of those “Lucy moments” that
fans know and love including the ever-famous Vitameatavegamin TV commercial.
The show contains interactive elements including audience participation
segments such as “Trivia Time”, the game show where three “contestants” test
their knowledge of the I Love Lucy television show for prizes. Two other
lucky audience members become Fred & Ethel and join in on a sing-a-long.
Another audience member finds himself in the role of Little Ricky and
yet another finds himself as Pretend Desi ! It is with all this interaction
and adlibbing that no two shows are ever exactly alike.
The Lucy and Desi Tribute Show is a totally unique, exciting entertainment
