Born and raised in the Transcona neighborhood of Winnipeg, Manitoba,
Natalie Reid is a graduate of the Collège Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau.
Several photographers began telling her during photo shoots that she
looked like
none other than Paris Hilton after moving to New York City in 2005. It
was from there that Reid decided to cash in on her new found fame as
the "Faux" Paris. Although some celebrities would not be flattered
at having someone else posing as them, Reid has received the seal of
approval from the real Ms. Hilton, who seems to be impressed with her
convincing performances.
In a July 2006 installment of the reality-based series,
The Simple Life,
Hilton hired Natalie Reid to pose for her on an assignment
to play a "Wife" for a couple — on the wrong
day. It turned out that Nicole Richie was supposed to have
that assignment. When Richie confronted Reid, she told her
that if she did not follow Richie's rules, she would be
exposed as a fraud to their guest hosts. Richie also used
this advantage to get back at Hilton by having an Australian
journalist conduct an interview with her and the faux Paris
Hilton. That was until the real Paris Hilton got wind of
it and went to the couple's home to confront Richie and
Reid.
Besides her modeling and impersonation work, Natalie Reid has also started
taking acting lessons in both New York and Los Angeles, and is pursuing
a career
as a professional actress.
In September 2006, Natalie Reid became the latest Canadian to grace
Playboy magazine, where she is featured in a six-page photo spread. However,
she was neither on the magazine cover or the featured playmate of the
month in that issue. Hilton, on the other hand, has turned down offers
to pose for Playboy several times, even though she was on the cover in
2005.
Natalie Reid also made it to the finals on the ABC series The Next Best
Thing as Paris Hilton.
