La Orquesta C.A.N.I. was created in June 17, 1999. They cater specifically to (salsa, Latin, Cha-cha, Descarga Jam, Merengue, Bolero and Latin Jazz) They have an exceptionally powerful three trombone sound that their audiences really enjoy, as if they were on the stage themselves. They know from personal experience that trombones have a unique way to move latin mambo lovers emotionally which is the crux of salsa music.

La Orquesta C.A.N.I. has experienced bilingual singers who sing and dance on stage and are very skillful at working events. Their specialty is weddings and perform as Master of Ceremonies.

La Orquesta C.A.N.I.'s style of music is traditional latin salsa from the 70's 80's 90's. IN addition, they have their own original style of music named C.A.N.I... Hector Jr Y Su Orquesta C.A.N.I. is not just your ordinary Latin salsa band, they are an "experience" you will want to take with you and share it with your family and friends.

Hector Jr. is a Latin percussionist who grew up in the midst of Latin salsa rumbas in the South Bronx. Rafael De Jesus (Latin Percussionist for Duran Duran, Dave Valentine & Willie Colon) was his first influential instructor. The sound of the conga was his first calling, and growing up around excellent musicians was an inspiration in starting his own group.

Hector Jr. was inspired by musical greats such as Ray Baretto, Manny Oquendo, Orlando Marin, Jose Mangual, and Roberto Roena. Hector Jr. also had the pleasure of having the most influential and powerful musicians come through this band such as Jose “Juicy” Jusino, HarryAdorno, Papo Pepin, Pete Pagan, Rey Bayona, and Alfredo “Male” Torres, Dave Miller, Mark Miller, Charlie Garcia, Ray Fuentes and Efrain Rolon.
