Paul Wagner - Corporate Comedy and Trade Show Entertainment

Description
Paul Wagner creates create custom interactive educational comedy shows for any type of organizational or corporate event. Whether it’s a Tradeshow, Awards Banquet or Sales Training, Paul will create a show or series of vignettes so incredibly custom, most people will think he is an employee of the company. Research, writing, video production and performing - all to serve your company platform and client base.

Awards Banquets and Sales Seminars
Paul Wagner will provide a unique set of creative elements to establish a custom show based completely on information he receives from his in-house research. Paul often opens with custom stand-up and a mock-commercial about the company’s main competitor. He'll segue into faux-video interactive sketches where he plays a company employee or former-employee on the screen. It’s all in good fun and he can go as far to the wild side as you’d like. For more educational events, Paul keeps the company educational platform in my mind’s eye throughout his time on the stage.

Tradeshows
Tradeshow entertainment often goes far overboard in terms of it’s draw to the booth. It can tend to neglect the message at hand - which is equally important to engaging the audience. Paul creates a unique message-integrated show that educates and entertains the audience. The show proves to be intelligent and fun. And it promises to draw more people to your booth than you had in prior years.

ALA CART

1. Custom-Stand-up:
Paul does a tremendous amount of research to make sure that he will represent your company in an intelligent and engaging way. He will learn who was recently fired and who left to work for the company’s primary competitor. He'll find out what each personality in the company is like and he’ll highlight people’s unique personality traits in a warm and funny way. He can make the show squeaky clean or he can cross the line a little bit into a traditional comedy show style.

2. Corporate Imposter:
Via industry research, Paul creates a custom character that most resembles a high-level professional in your company’s industry. He’ll pretend to go live via satellite to this genius - or he’ll play the character live on the stage. Paul will create a bio and background for this character that illuminates a unique and authoritative understanding of the business at hand. He will use on-screen graphics and flow-charts, make up improbable and funny data and he’ll show comedic video clips about the nature of the business and how your company engages it’s clients. People love corporate imposters. At first this character appears to be some big-shot know-it-all from corporate - but within minutes, Paul will have the audience eating out of the palm of his hand.

3. Video-Interactive Interviews:
From his research, Paul will create custom characters that reflect the company history, personnel and business pursuits. He will pretend to go live via-satellite to 8 or so people that are either fictional creations of people in the industry (or company) or impersonations of people in the hierarchy. These 2-3 minute clips are a huge hit. Paul will play all the characters and they are pre-taped then projected onto a large screen. He usually plays 25% women. The audience loves a guy in drag. The women characters are often the CEO's ex-wife or childhood sweetheart, depending on the level of PC in the crowd.

4. Mock-Commercials:
These are always a blast. As a finalist for Saturday Night Live and a former writer for Keenan Ivory Wayans, Paul Wagner has been writing sketch comedy for years. These mock commercials can be customized pertaining to the industry or Paul can use some great stock ones. Ro-Grain: A beer that grows hair - is a big favorite.

5. Company Messaging:
Some companies require an educational theme in part of the presentation or show. This usually comes in the form of either company facts that the hierarchy requires the masses to know or in the form of language that builds bridges between departments or to an ethos. This part of the show can be either integrated throughout the entire performance or provided as a closing piece to generate a kind-hearted atmosphere.

6. Break-Out Sessions:
Paul often spends a week with a company at their sales training slash awards week. He provides an opening show, mid-week character visits to educational or break-out sessions, comedy videos about what's going on when people aren't in session and then a closing awards banquet. These break-out sessions are often used as a playful interruption of an educational session. Paul plays the maintenance man coming in to check the sturdiness of seats, test computers or climb over people to find an outlet. It starts as a serious thing then it unfolds into mayhem. This is a huge hit too.

7. On-Site Employee Comedy Videos:
When Paul spends a week with a company or even a few days, it's easy to rove with the camera and video people hanging out, eating, playing golf, etc. Paul gets candid responses to fun questions and he chops this together in a comedic montage video which illustrates the playful nature of employees. People love to see themselves on-screen and it builds a sense of community.
