A personal tribute to music's "swingin'est" singers featuring Peter Scott Ruben and his seven-piece band - from Bobby Darin to Harry Connick, Jr., with a nod (and a wink!) to Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, and more. Featuring all-time favorites and undiscovered gems, Peter Scott Ruben blends this repertoire from the "best of the best" into a delightful musical performance. The show consists of two forty-five minute sets and can be customized to fit different time requirements.

Peter Scott Ruben was born into a musical family. The son of bandleader Harold Ruben, Peter grew up in suburban Philadelphia and made his professional debut as a lead guitarist and vocalist at the age of sixteen. He formed his first full-time band in 1971, and played the nightclub circuit until he joined his father's business in 1980.

Taking the helm himself in 1985, Peter, continuing the family tradition, formed Peter Scott Ruben Orchestras. Over the next two decades, Mr. Ruben established himself as a premier bandleader, and built one of the largest and most successful music companies on the East Coast.

Peter has appeared at Trump Taj Mahal, Harrah's, Bally's, and Caesar's in Atlantic City, the Plaza and the Hilton in New York City, and the Bellevue, Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, and Academy of Music in Philadelphia. The highlight of Peter's career thus far has been a performance for President Ronald Reagan's 70th Birthday Celebration at the White House, in Washington, DC.

Peter Scott Ruben has most recently focused on the development of "As Long As I'm Swingin''', his personal tribute to music's "swingin'est" singers .... Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, and more.

Genesis of the Show
Several years ago, Peter discovered his first collection of "unknown" Bobby Darin songs. Struck by the quality of the material, he began an extensive search for every available Darin recording. Combining the best of Bobby Darin with his favorites from other artists, Peter created his current show, "As Long As I'm Swingin" .

Peter's unique vocal style, audience rapport, and exciting seven-piece band set the tone for a truly memorable evening. The mood is intimate, the charts are authentic, the music swings! He has performed "As Long As I'm Swingin'" at such venues as the 23rd Street Cafe, Downey's, Society Hill Playhouse, Rock Lobster, North by Northwest, Blue Eyes in Sewell, New Jersey, the Sellersville Theatre, and , recently, the World Cafe Live.
