Please
Note: We are Only Accepting Talent From The U.S. and Canada
If
we are interested in your act, we will contact you for
additional information. All new talent is required to
provide a complete promotional package/media kit, including
a professionally recorded video of a recent
live performance. This information can be mailed to us
or posted on your web site or You Tube, MySpace or SonicBids,
etc. Please do not call to see if we have received your
information.
All
information must be easily downloadable from the web.
If you have a Flash-based site, you would need to e-mail
or snail-mail all of your information. Having your own
web page e.g. (www.yourname.com) is considerably more
professional than MySpace, You Tube, Sonic Bids etc.,
and you should have one in additional to the social networking
sites if you take your career seriously.
A
Note About Videos: The ideal demo video for a
music act would be 5-10 songs on a 4 minute demo. So edit
well! Lose those guitar solos and just use the best vocals.
Other types of acts should have a high-quality 4-5 minute
video representing the best segments of your show. Make
the first 15-20 seconds, and the last 15-20 seconds amazing.
Do NOT put on any contact information as we cannot post
a non-agent friendly video. Do NOT use the camera mic!!!
You
can have a great 3-camera video shot and edited for under
$5,000. 1 & 2 camera shoots can be produced for as
little as $1,500. It will be your best and most important
career investment you will ever make! Avoid the temptation
to have uncle Bob shoot your video on a $200 home camera
(even if it's HD). Our suggestion is either do it right,
or don't do it at all. Hire a professional! We will not
consider acts with an unprofessional video.
CD
Audio Demos: At this time, everything must be
on video. Please do not send us your studio-recorded audio
cd's.
What
We Are Looking For: Fresh, new acts that would
appeal to a corporate, high-end private event, fund-raiser,
performing arts center or casino audience. We are currently
considering CLEAN comedians, impressionists, dance groups,
high-end dance & show-bands, tribute shows, production
shows, great, innovative variety acts and anything that
is new and different. All acts must be squeaky-clean and
appropriate for our clients. We are not interested in
gimmicky novelty acts (e.g. a knife-thrower or bull-whip
person who rides a horse on their head while breaking
balloons with their bull whip, or the human garbage disposal,
etc.).
Please
remember that everyone is aware of great acts because
of the recent talent shows on TV. So, you must be at least
as good as the finalists or we are not interested. It
gets increasingly more difficult to please the corporate
client since they have "seen it all". Our job
is to find talent that they have NOT already seen a million
times! Also, be prepared to significantly reduce your
performance fees in 2010 if you want to work the corporate
market. All acts today must be flexible in their pricing
and terms. No Divas Please!
It
is suggested that all talent carry Professional Liability
Insurance. This will soon be a requirement!
